Delete your Buska account and data

Option 1: delete things yourself, in the app

You do not need to contact anyone for these. All of them sit behind the grown-up PIN in the Parent Zone.

• Delete a photo: open the treasure, choose to remove the photo. The treasure goes back to uncollected.
• Unpublish a gallery photo: open the treasure's gallery and choose unpublish. It disappears from the public board.
• Remove an explorer: open the Family sheet and remove that child. Their profile and progress go with them.

Option 2: delete your whole account

1. Email [email protected] from the email address the account uses.
2. Put Delete my account in the subject line.
3. We reply to confirm it is really you, then delete the account.

Requests are completed within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

• Your account and the email address attached to it
• Every explorer profile and the names on them
• Every photo your family captured, including any published to the community gallery
• Game progress: treasures collected, points, badges and album entries

What we keep, and why

• Records of purchases, if you ordered a printed keepsake. Tax and accounting law requires us to retain transaction records, so these survive account deletion. They are kept for the period the law requires and are not used for anything else.
• Technical error logs, which record what broke and on what kind of device, never who you are.
